The Team
The year was 1920. The League of Nations was established, women gained the right to vote, and 10 teams assembled in Canton, Ohio to change the landscape of professional sports, forever. All for the love of football. Only 2 of those 10 teams still exist today. The memory of the rest has been overshadowed in pop culture by the stars of the Lombardi era.
But Lombardi belonged to Green Bay. Football, though? Football belongs to Canton! While not at the forefront of pop culture, today the greats of yesteryear still live in Canton, and so will we. The Classics give honor to the founders of the game, while inspiring the legendary spirit inside of us all.
Fatherhood Field is where it all begins… AGAIN!
The Colors
The colors gold, midnight blue and ruby were chosen in homage to the jackets worn by Hall of Fame inductees, the flag of the great state of Ohio, and the original Canton Bulldogs professional team, respectively.
The Name
The term “classic” has always applied to anything that transcends its own era and becomes timeless. The name and crest of the Classics not only celebrates the humble beginnings of the game, but also carries it agelessly into its future among the great teams of the SFL.
Definition of classic
serving as a standard of excellence : of recognized value
historically memorable
traditional, ENDURING
The Mascot
The mascot is our beloved, no-nonsense bulldog Mac, whose namesake is the 25th U.S. President and Canton native, William McKinley. Mac also represents the moniker of Canton’s original professional team from a century ago.
The Mission
The Classics embody their motto “for the love of football,” by providing a welcoming environment that emphasizes winning as well as family, friendship and inclusivity. One that invites people from all backgrounds to a forward-thinking program built for success. We want to build a locker room and staff that not only want to win, but have a great time doing it.
We are excited to be making a bid for the Simulation Football League, because we are passionate about the game and the community. We are grateful for the founding members and those that have paved the way before us to build something so unique and fun.
We see the great potential in the future of the league and plan to be around for a long, long time.
Our goal is to break a few boundaries between the real world and the simulated one; to bridge the gap between the history of the real pros and the future of the SFL. We have partnered with the Fatherhood Festival and people close to the Hall of Fame to bring the SFL to events surrounding the hallowed ground of Canton.
We plan to bring an extra layer to the already great foundation of the SFL, and take the league into the next era while maintaining the elements that we already know and love.
The Ownership
Kristian Aleixo
Kristian is a native of the Pacific Northwest, having been born in Seattle and relocating 30 minutes south to Tacoma when he was 8. Upon graduating High School, He enlisted in the U.S. Army as an 88N (Movement Control Coordinator)—attending Basic Training at Ft. Jackson, SC before moving on to AIT at FT. Eustis, VA. Not long after, Kristian was mobilized in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His unit was attached to the Screaming Eagles of the 101st Airborne Division and played a significant role in the construction of the longest supply railroad in a foreign country since WW2. He was awarded an Army Commendation medal for his contribution. Kristian would later return for a second tour of Iraq, before being diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes in the combat zone. He received a second Army Commendation medal before being medically retired at the rank of Sergeant. Aleixo used the premature end to his military career as a pivot point to eventually find his way to achieving his teenage dream of racing in the Indianapolis 500. He is currently the Test and Development driver for Marotti Autosport, a small IndyCar team based in Pittsboro, IN and is still working his way to his first Indy 500 start. Beyond that, Kristian is a published author, TV personality and U.S. Events Coordinator at World Pro Racing (Because virtual racing is cool!). While racing will always be his first love, having played WR in high school, football is a very close second. A passion for football and eSports, plus some high-level connections he’s made as an athlete, makes the SFL’s owner’s box the perfect place to #makeanimpact!

Adam Chance
Adam was born and raised on the Gulf Coast and attended the University of Alabama where he studied music, journalism and creative writing. Currently he tours the world and records full time with the band Home Free as well as releasing solo music under his name. Adam has performed anthems and opening ceremonies for the Minnesota Vikings, Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, and the Cleveland Cavaliers, as well as being a guest performer at Tony Romo’s wedding. Having loved football since a young age (thanks, Joe Montana Sports Talk Football), Adam played as a RB/WR with the eventual plan to transition into coaching. A major head injury and a music scholarship put an end to that trajectory, but the love for football remained. Combined with a lifelong video game obsession, that love eventually steered him to the SFL where he hopes to build some lifelong friendships, contribute to championships and #makeanimpact as an owner.
